Got some garlic cloves hanging around? Don’t throw them out! Here’s a delicious way to make use of them.
- Garlic Cloves – 6 (Peeled)
- Olive Oil
- Butter (Optional)
- ½ Baguette
- Salt to taste
- Aluminium Foil
Squeeze some garlic cloves in a pot and pour some olive oil in it. Add some finely chopped dill and parsley herbs and mix it all together in a pot. Finally, let the mixture simmer for about 2-3 minutes for a full flavor infusion. Now, cut the baguette at 2cm intervals. Just make sure to not cut all the way through so it’s all attached. Spread garlic butter into each incision. Add salt to taste. Wrap your garlic bread in an aluminum foil to keep the bread moist and place in a hot oven until your bread is golden and toasty. A winner with your favourite Italian pasta, soup or even as a side for your BBQ nights!
A Tasty Tip for the Home Chefs: Rub a cut clove of raw garlic over toasted bread to add some extra flavor.
