Hello Chef is committed to continuously innovating to reduce our service’s carbon footprint while protecting your food’s quality and safety. We take sustainability seriously, which means we’re always on the lookout for new, more effective practices and materials.
Our packaging and services are also designed with efficiency in mind. You skip a trip to the supermarket, and your food gets a shared ride to your home. Hello Chef boxes never travel alone, which minimizes our fuel use and overall carbon footprint.
Here are some ways you can recycle your boxes and packaging.
Return your boxes to us!
Recycle your empty Hello Chef box by handing it to our driver during your next order and we’ll make sure it is reused (if it’s clean and in its original condition) or recycled. Alternatively, you can recycle Hello Chef boxes with your normal cardboard curbside recycling or locally available recycling program.
What about the other packaging?
Besides boxes, we don’t recycle packaging (plastic bags and containers) yet. We are however working on it and will announce a workable solution soon. Much of the packaging we provide is reusable. We recommend you thoroughly rinse the bags and containers and then soak them in warm water with baking soda. What recycling options do I have in Dubai?
At Hello Chef we have partnered with Enviroserve to handle our recyclable waste. They work across Dubai and we’ve found them to be cost-effective and reliable.
