This super easy breakfast is so delicious you’ll soon know the recipe by heart (like I do).

I haven’t been this excited about a recipe for… well, since the last time I was very excited about a recipe. I know, that happens to me quite often. But seriously, this oat revelation is too good not to share. So I will. You’ve probably heard about overnight oats, but maybe – just maybe – have been skeptical about it. Is it really worthwhile? Does it taste good? It’s just oatmeal!

I can tell you: yes, yes, and yes. Overnight oats are oh so delicious, healthy – and takes literally two minutes to prepare. I’ve made these overnight oats so many times I remember the recipe by hart. Here it is:


  • 1 dl oat flakes (a little less than ½ cup)
  • 1¼ dl (1/2 cup) almond milk


  • ¾ Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 Tbsp nut or almond butter
  • 2 tsp honey
  • a handful of berries (frozen or fresh)
  • a pinch of whatever spice you prefer (I like cinnamon, cardamom and vanilla).


Transfer the mixture to a nice glass jar (or combine the ingredients in a jar), close the lid, and put the jar in the fridge. In the morning your breakfast will be ready for you to devour, or to grab and go.
