Instructions

1 Prep veggies

Separate broccoli to small florets, and halve the bigger ones. Peel and mince shallots and garlic. Carefully wash one lemon and grate the zest with fine blade. Juice lemons.

2 Boil pasta and broccoli

Bring two pots of lightly salted water to a boil. Boil spaghetti in one, for about 8 minutes or until "al dente". In the other, boil broccoli for 5 minutes until crisp-tender. Drain.

3 Make sauce

Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry shallots for 3 minutes. Add garlic and fry for 2 minutes. Add cooking cream, 1/1,5/2 tsp of grated lemon zest and 3/4,5/6 Tbsp of lemon juice, and honey. Add prawns and cook, stirring, for about 3 minutes until they are cooked through (don't overcook so that the prawns don't become rubbery). Season with salt and pepper. Take off the heat.

4 Combine and season

Combine cooked pasta, boiled broccoli and the prawn sauce. Grate Parmesan and chop fresh parsley, add in and mix well. Divide to plates and serve.

Tips for fussy eaters

Serve the pasta and the sauce separately.

Pro tip

A bit of sugar (or, in this recipe, honey) helps round up the taste of the sauce.

Fresh, creamy and satisfying!
