and Cabbage Stir Fry

Instructions

1 Prep

Cut cabbage into thin strips. Peel and cut carrot into thin sticks. Peel and crush garlic.

2 Fry

Fry beef mince in a pan over high heat in two batches until nicely browned. Set aside.

3 Add and fry

Add oil to the pan and fry cabbage and carrots for about 3 minutes. Add garlic, ginger paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar, chilli flakes and star anise. Fry for 2-3 minutes.

4 Mix and serve

Add fried beef mince and stir to combine. Season with salt and black pepper. Serve onto plates and sprinkle with chopped spring onion.

Tips for fussy eaters

Reserve some of the sautéed beef. Serve it with boiled rice, fresh veggies and cabbage to the side.

Pro tip

Prefer a softer cabbage? Blanch it in boiling water for 30 seconds before draining it and adding it to the pan.
