Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.

Instructions

Boil rice

1 Boil rice

  • Rinse and drain the rice.
  • Add the rice, a pinch of salt and the measured water to a pot with a lid.
  • Bring to a boil over a high heat.
  • Lower heat, cover and cook for 12-14 min, until the rice is tender.
  • Remove from the heat and keep covered until serving.
Make salad

2 Make salad

  • Meanwhile, thinly slice the cabbage.
  • Peel and grate the carrot.
  • Cut the cucumber into this strips or batons.
  • Pick the coriander leaves.
  • Cut 1 lime in half.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, carrot, cucumber and coriander.
  • Squeeze lime juice over the salad and mix well.
  • Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Tip! If cooking for kids, keep a portion of chopped carrot and cucumber separate.
Make sauce

3 Make sauce

  • Cut the remaining lime in half.
  • In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sweet chilli sauce, Sriracha sauce, honey and a squeeze of lime juice to taste.
  • This is the Bang Bang sauce.
Spice chicken

4 Spice chicken

  • Cut the chicken into bite-sized cubes.
  • To a bowl, add the chicken, paprika powder, 0.5 sachet garlic onion powder, a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Mix to coat the chicken.
Tip! If cooking for kids, fry a portion of the chicken seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper only.
Fry chicken

5 Fry chicken

  • Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil.
  • Fry the chicken for 4-5 min on each side until golden and cooked through.
  • Once cooked, remove from the heat.
Serve

6 Serve

  • Serve the Chicken over warm Rice alongside the Crunchy Slaw.
  • Drizzle with Bang Bang Sauce.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds.
Tip! If cooking for kids, serve the plain rice alongside plain chicken and reserved cucumber and carrot.
