Before you start
Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.
Instructions
1 Prep toppings
Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan.
Chop the bacon into bite-sized pieces.
Chop the pineapple chunks into smaller pieces.
Fry the bacon over a medium-high heat until almost cooked, drain of any excess fat.
Tip!Remove the pizza dough from the fridge at least 10 min before cooking. Allowing the dough to come to room temp makes it easier to roll out.
2 Make sauce
Preheat your baking trays.
In a bowl, combine the tomato passata, olive oil, garlic powder, dried oregano and brown sugar with the salt.
This is your tomatosauce.
3 Poll pizza
Sprinkle half of the semolina onto a clean surface.
Sprinkle the flour onto a rolling pin and roll out the doughballs, then allow them to rest for 3 min.
After 3 min, continue to roll out the dough until roughly the size of a dinner plate.
Sprinkle the remaining semolina onto the pre-heated baking trays.
Carefully transfer the rolled out dough onto the trays.
Spoon over the tomatosauce.
4 Bake
Top the pizza base with the gratedmozzarella, cooked bacon and pineapple.
Brush the crust with olive oil.
Bake for 15-20 min or until the crust begins to crisp and brown.
5 Prep sides
Meanwhile, peel and chop the carrot into sticks.
Chop the cucumber into sticks.
Deseed and chop the pepper into strips.
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sourcream, vegetable seasoning and garlicpowder with a dash of whitevinegar to taste.
6 Serve
Tear the basil onto the pizza.
Slice, and serve immediately!
