Before you start
Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.
Instructions
1 Prep
Peel the red onion. Grate one half of the onion and finely chop the other half. Slice the mushrooms. Using a box grater or food processor, grate or blitz the broccoli until it resembles rice grains.
2 Make patties
In a bowl, combine the beefmince, eggs, tamari, grated onions (save the chopped half!) and cream cheese. Season generously with salt and pepper. With clean hands, shape the mixture into patties.
3 Fry patties
Heat a large pan over a medium heat with a drizzle of oil. Once hot, add the patties and fry for 6-7 min on each side. Once cooked, transfer to a plate and keep warm. Reserve the pan.
4 Make sauce
Return the pan to a medium heat. Add the chopped onions and mushrooms to the pan juices and fry for 6 min or until browned. Add the measuredwater, cooking cream and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 3 min or until thickened. Add a splash of water if needed.
5 Broccoli rice
Meanwhile, heat a second pan over a medium heat with a drizzle of oil. Once hot, add the broccoli with a pinch of salt and stir-fry for 5 min.
6 Serve
Serve the beefpatties over the mushroomsauce with the broccolirice alongside.
