Instructions
1 Add sausage meat
Preheat the oven to 200°C, no fan.
On a clean surface, unroll the puffpastry sheet with the baking paper below.
Cut down the centre, of the long edge, to make 2 rectangles.
Divide the sausagemeat into 2.
Place the sausagemeat in the centre of each rectangle.
Shape the sausagemeat into even logs across the puffpastry.
2 Roll
Fold the pastry over the sausagemeat to enclose it.
Gently press along the folded edges to seal.
3 Seal
Using a fork, press down along the folded edges to seal.
4 Brush and score
Cut each roll in half to make 4 sausagerolls.
Using a knife, lightly make 2-3 slits on the top of each roll.
In a small bowl whisk the egg.
Brush the beaten egg all over the top of the puffpastry.
Sprinkle with sesameseeds.
Tip!With the egg wash, the sesame seeds will stick on the puff pastry!
5 Bake
Transfer the sausagerolls, with the baking paper, to a tray.
Bake at the bottom or lowest rack of your oven for 20–25 min or until the pastry is golden and puffed, and the sausage is fully cooked.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving
