Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.

Instructions

Prep

1 Prep

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C, no fan.
  • In a bowl, mix together the onion marmalade and mustard till combined.
  • Cut down the middle across the puff pastry to make 2 bigger rectangles.
Add sausage meat

2 Add sausage meat

  • Divide and spread the onion mixture along the centre of the puff pastry rectangles.
  • Divide the sausage meat into 2.
  • Shape the sausage meat into even logs along the centre of each rectangle, on top of the onion mixture.
Roll and seal

3 Roll and seal

  • Fold the pastry over the sausage meat to enclose it.
  • Using a fork, press down along the folded edges to seal.
Cut and brush

4 Cut and brush

  • Cut each roll into cocktail-sized sausage rolls, roughly 15-20 pieces depending on your desired size.
  • Place onto a lined baking tray.
  • In a small bowl whisk the egg.
  • Brush the beaten egg all over the top of the puff pastry.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of sesame seeds on each roll.
Tip! With the egg wash, the sesame seeds will stick on the puff pastry!
Bake

5 Bake

  • Bake at the middle rack of your oven for 20–25 min or until the pastry is golden and puffed, and the sausage is fully cooked.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving.
Serve

6 Serve
