Before you start
Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.
Instructions
1 Prep
Preheat the oven to 200°C, no fan.
In a bowl, mix together the onionmarmalade and mustard till combined.
Cut down the middle across the puffpastry to make 2 bigger rectangles.
2 Add sausage meat
Divide and spread the onionmixture along the centre of the puffpastry rectangles.
Divide the sausagemeat into 2.
Shape the sausagemeat into even logs along the centre of each rectangle, on top of the onionmixture.
3 Roll and seal
Fold the pastry over the sausagemeat to enclose it.
Using a fork, press down along the folded edges to seal.
4 Cut and brush
Cut each roll into cocktail-sized sausagerolls, roughly 15-20 pieces depending on your desired size.
Place onto a lined baking tray.
In a small bowl whisk the egg.
Brush the beaten egg all over the top of the puffpastry.
Sprinkle a pinch of sesameseeds on each roll.
Tip!With the egg wash, the sesame seeds will stick on the puff pastry!
5 Bake
Bake at the middle rack of your oven for 20–25 min or until the pastry is golden and puffed, and the sausage is fully cooked.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving.
6 Serve
