Instructions

Prep chicken

  • Slice the lemon in half.
  • Chop the chicken into thin strips or bite-sized pieces.
  • In a large bowl, combine the chicken, olive oil, Arabic mix masala, coriander cumin powder, smoked paprika, thyme, a small squeeze of lemon juice, and a good pinch of salt and pepper.
Fry chicken

  • Heat a frying pan to medium high heat with a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Add the chicken and fry for 5-7 min until cooked through.
Make salad

3 Make salad

  • Meanwhile, peel and slice the red onion.
  • Slice or chop the tomatoes.
  • Slice or chop the cucumbers.
  • Pick the mint.
  • In a bowl, combine the ingredients with sumac, olive oil, a pinch of salt, and a good squeeze of lemon juice.
Shred lettuce

4 Shred lettuce

  • Meanwhile, separate the lettuce leaves and finely slice into shredded strips.
Heat tortillas

5 Heat tortillas

  • Meanwhile, warm the tortilla wraps in another pan, microwave, or oven.
Serve

6 Serve

  • Spread some hummus on each tortilla.
  • Add some shredded lettuce, and top with the chicken.
  • Serve the Chicken Shawarma Tacos with Hummus and Chopped Salad on the side.
