Before you start
Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.
Instructions
1 Make wedges
Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan.
Slice the potatoes (skins on) into wedges.
Add the wedges to a large baking tray with a drizzle of vegetable oil.
Toss the wedges in the oil until fully coated.
Bake for 30 min or until crisp.
Once crisp, season with a generous pinch of salt and the smokedpaprika.
Tip!If using an air fryer, preheat to 200°C. Air fry the wedges with a drizzle of oil, salt and smoked paprika for 20-25 min until cooked through, tossing halfway through. Cook in batches if necessary.
2 Prep
Meanwhile, slice the tomatoes.
Very finely chop the chives.
3 Make burger sauce
In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, chopped chives and Dijon mustard with a pinch of salt.
Place in the fridge until serving.
4 Fry patties
Heat a pan over a medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil.
Fry the patties for 3 min on each side until browned and cooked through.
Once browned, top with the cheddarslices, cover with a lid and cook for 1 min further or until the cheese has melted.
Once melted, sprinkle with the crispy onions.
5 Warm buns
Once the wedges have baked for 30 min, add the burgerbuns to the tray.
Bake for 5 min further until the buns are warmed through.
6 Assemble
Load the warmed burgerbuns with a handful of crispylettuce, the sliced tomatoes, BeyondMeat patties and burgersauce.
Serve the Classic BeyondMeat Cheese Burger with a side of Potato Wedges.
