Before you start
Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.
Instructions
1 Prep
Peel and finely chop the onion.
2 Fry sausage
Use a sharp knife to cut each sausage into thirds.
Heat a non-stick pan over high heat with a drizzle of oil.
Fry the sausage for 3-4 min or until browned.
Lower the heat to medium.
Add the onion and continue cooking for another 3-4 min until the onions have softened.
3 Add orzo
Add the garlic, a pinch of chilliflakes(spicy!) and the orzo.
Stir for 30 seconds to coat the orzo.
Tip!Cooking for the kids? Leave out the chilli flakes.
4 Add liquid
Add 0.5 stockcube and measuredwater.
Add the cream and mix thorugh.
Once it starts to bubble, reduce the heat to medium-low, continue cooking for 10 min, uncovered, stirring often to prevent sticking.
Tip!Add a splash of water if the orzo starts to stick before it's fully cooked.
5 Add spinach
Once cooked, take off the heat and stir in the baby spinach.
Adjust seasoning with a pinch of salt and pepper, to taste.
6 Serve
Pick a handful of parsleyleaves.
Serve the Creamy ItalianSausageOrzo with BabySpinach garnished with freshparsley.
