Before you start

Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.

Instructions

Chop bacon

1 Chop bacon

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Chop the bacon into bite-sized pieces.
Fry bacon

2 Fry bacon

  • Fry the bacon from a cold pan for 4-5 min until crispy.
  • Remove the bacon from the pan, retaining the grease and pan for the sauce.
Make sauce

3 Make sauce

  • Return the pan to a medium-high heat with a drizzle of the bacon grease.
  • Fry the onions for 2-3 min until softened.
  • Add the sun dried tomatoes, cream cheese, red pesto, tomato paste and garlic powder.
  • Mix and add a few splashes of the boiling water to loosen.
Tip! Chop the sun dried tomatoes into smaller pieces for more flavour.
Boil

4 Boil

  • Meanwhile, add the broccoli to the boiling water.
  • Boil for 1 min.
  • Add the tagliatelle to the same pot and cook for a further 2 min until tender.
  • Drain and reserve a cup of pasta water.
Toss

5 Toss

  • Add the cooked broccoli and cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.
  • Add a splash of pasta water to loosen to the desired consistency.
Serve

6 Serve

  • Serve the Bacon, Broccoli and Sun Dried Tomato Fresh Tagliatelle topped with the grated parmesan.
