Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.

Instructions

Fry beef

1 Fry beef

  • Heat a large frying pan over a medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil.
  • Fry the steak strips for 4-6 min until cooked through.
  • Half way through cooking season the beef with the BBQ spice and the Arabic masala.
  • Once cooked, turn off the heat and drizzle over the pomegranate molasses.
  • Remove the beef and reserve the pan.
Prep

2 Prep

  • Meanwhile, chop the cucumbers into bite-sized pieces.
  • Chop the cherry tomatoes in half.
  • Chop the lemon into wedges.
  • In a small bowl, combine the vinegar with the sugar and a pinch of salt.
  • Add the onion slices and mix.
  • Set aside.
Heat rice

3 Heat rice

  • Return the pan to the heat with a small drizzle of oil.
  • Using your hands squeeze the rice in the packet to separate the grains.
  • Fry the rice in the pan for 2-3 min.
  • Pick in the parsley and add the sumac.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Mix yogurt

4 Mix yogurt

  • In a small bowl, combine the yogurt with the garlic powder.
  • Season with salt, pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice to taste.
Serve

5 Serve

  • Assemble by adding the rice, beef and toppings to a bowl.
  • Serve the Beef Shawarma Rice Bowl with a drizzle of the garlic sauce.
