Before you start

Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.

Instructions

Fry

1 Fry

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Heat a large pan over a medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil.
  • Fry the onion and carrot for 3-5 min with a pinch of salt until softened.
Make sauce

2 Make sauce

  • Add the tomato paste, passata, 0.5 stock cube, oregano and garlic powder.
  • Mix and cook for 1 min.
Add beef

3 Add beef

  • Add the beef and measured water and bring to a simmer.
  • Simmer for 3-5 min, until the sauce has reduced and thickened slightly.
  • Season with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
Boil pasta

4 Boil pasta

  • Boil the pappardelle for 2 min until tender.
  • Drain.
Add pasta

5 Add pasta

  • Add the pappardelle to the ragu and toss to mix.
Tip! Add a splash of the pasta water to loosen if needed.
Serve

6 Serve

  • Serve the Beef Ragu Pappardelle topped with the grated parmesan and basil leaves.
