Before you start
Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.
Instructions
1 Fry
Heat a large frying pan over a medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil.
Fry the beefmince for 3-5 min until browned.
2 Prep
Meanwhile, pick and roughly chop the thaibasil. Reserve some whole leaves for garnish.
Cut the lime into wedges.
3 Add veg
Add the pepper and beans.
Fry for further 2 min.
4 Season
Add the tomatopaste, redcurrypaste(spicy!), sambaloelek(spicy!), garlicgingerpaste, soysauce and sugar.
Mix well and fry for 1 min until fragrant
5 Add rice
Add a splash of water to the pan.
Using your hands squeeze the rice in the packet to separate the grains.
Add the rice, choppedthaibasil and some of the springonions (saving the rest for garnish), stir fry for 2-3 min.
6 Serve
Serve the Spicy and Aromatic ThaiBeef Fried Rice topped with the reserved basilleaves.
