Before you start
Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.
Instructions
1 Toast bagel
Preheat the air fryer to 190°C.
Slice each bagel in half.
Air fry the bagel halfs for 3-4 min or until crispy and starting to brown.
Tip!If you do not have an air fryer, heat the bagels in a toaster, pan or a warm oven for a few minutes until crispy and golden brown.
2 Air fry halloumi
Drain the halloumi and pat dry with kitchen towel.
Cut the halloumi in half lengthwise.
Cut in half again lengthwise so each block produces 4 thinner rectangular slabs.
Lightly brush the halloumi with oil on both sides.
Air fry the halloumi for 5-6 min until golden brown and crispy, turning half way through.
Tip!If you do not have an air fryer, pan fry the halloumi with a drizzle of oil over medium heat for 2-3 min each side until golden and crispy.
3 Add avo
Meanwhile, cut the avocado in half. Remove the stone.
Scoop the avocado out of its skin using a spoon.
Using a fork, lightly mash the avocado on the bottom half of each bagel.
4 Add tomato
Cut the tomato into slices.
Top the avocado layer with tomato slices.
Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
5 Serve
Add the fried halloumi on top of the tomato slices.
Serve the Halloumi and AvocadoBagels with a drizzle of SweetChilliSauce.
