Ingredients
Granola
Oat & nut mix 2*
320 Grams
Dried fruit & coconut 14*
80 Grams
Pecan nuts 2*
40 Grams
Dried apricots 14*
50 Grams
Cinnamon powder
1 Gram
Maple syrup
70 ML
Olive oil
2 Tbsp

Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.

Instructions

Prep

1 Prep

  • Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan.
  • Roughly chop the pecan nuts and dried apricots.
Combine

2 Combine

  • Add the oat & nut mix, chopped pecan nuts, chopped apricots and cinnamon to a large baking tray or dish.
  • Add the dried fruit & coconut to the tray or add half way through cooking, as preferred.
  • Drizzle with half the maple syrup (reserve some for step 4).
  • Drizzle with olive oil and a light pinch of salt.
  • Mix well.
Tip! Olive oil is high in unsaturated fats and will add a very subtle and deliciously savoury flavour to the granola. Alternatively, use a neutral oil according to your preference.
Bake

3 Bake

  • Bake the granola in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until fragrant and golden brown.
  • Give the granola a good mix half way through baking, adding the dried fruit & coconut now if preferred.
  • Once baked, drizzle the baked granola with the remaining maple syrup.
  • Mix well.
Tip! Mixing the granola half way ensures it bakes evenly.
Serve

4 Serve

  • Serve the Hello Chef Mixed Granola with Dried Apricots and Pecan Nuts with your favourite yogurt, a drizzle of honey and fresh fruit alongside, as per your preference.
Storage

5 Storage

  • Once your granola has fully cooled, store in an airtight container or ziplock bag at room temperature for up to one week.
