Before you start
Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.
Instructions
1 Bread prawns
Wash the prawns and drain on kitchen paper.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg, soy sauce, flour and pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until smooth. This is the egg batter.
Add the pankobreadcrumbs to a separate shallow bowl or plate.
Add all the prawns to the egg batter and coat well.
One by one, coat the prawns in the breadcrumbs, pressing down lightly to ensure the coating sticks.
Place the breadedprawns on a large plate or tray.
2 Fry prawns
Heat a pan over medium heat with a generous drizzle of oil.
Fry the breaded prawns for 2-3 min on each side until golden and crispy. Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
Cook for 2 min on either side or until golden and crispy.
Tip!If using an air fryer, preheat to 180°C. Add the breaded prawns to the air fryer basket. Drizzle with oil and air fry for 6-7 min until golden brown. Cook in batches if necessary.
3 Prep
In a small bowl, mix together the sriracha(spicy!), sweetchillisauce(spicy!), mayonnaise, a pinch of chilli flakes(spicy!) and a pinch of salt. This is the Dynamitesauce.
Separate the lettuceleaves and finely shred.
4 Serve
Scatter the shredded lettuce onto a large plate or serving dish.
Serve the Crispy DynamitePrawns drizzled with creamy DynamiteSauce.
