Instructions

Coat drumsticks

1 Coat drumsticks

  • If using an oven, preheat to 220°C/200°C fan.
  • If using an air fryer, preheat to 180°C.
  • Zest the lemon and cut it in half.
  • In a large bowl, add the chicken drumsticks with the chicken seasoning, lemon pepper seasoning, lemon zest, thyme, half the lemon juice and a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Toss well to coat.
Tip! Marinate the chicken for as long as possible.
If using an oven

  • Place the drumsticks onto a lined baking tray.
  • Roast for 18-20 min or until the drumsticks are golden-brown and crispy.
Tip! Having a barbecue? Place the chicken drumsticks over an indirect heat and grill for 10-15 min, turning occasionally.
If using an air fryer

3 If using an air fryer

  • Place the drumsticks in an air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 12-15 min or until the drumsticks are golden-brown and crispy, turning halfway through.
Make dip

4 Make dip

  • Peel and finely chop the garlic.
  • In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, dijon and the remainin half of the lemon juice.
  • Add a splash of water if you prefer a runnier dip.
Serve

5 Serve

  • Serve the Lemon Herb Chicken Drumsticks with the Garlic Aioli to the side.
