Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.

Instructions

Prep

1 Prep

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the oats with the chia seeds, yogurt, milk and honey.
  • Divide among bowls, containers of choice, or leave in the same large bowl.
Tip! If leaving in the large bowl, divide the overnight oats into containers of choice the next day.
Refrigerate

2 Refrigerate

  • Cover the oats with a lid or cling film.
  • Place into the fridge and leave to set overnight.
Tip! Overnight, the oats will soak up the liquid and flavour - leaving you with a delicious breakfast that is ready to go.
Toast almonds

3 Toast almonds

  • When ready to serve, heat a pan over medium-low heat and add the almond flakes.
  • Toast in a dry hot pan for 2-3 min until fragrant and starting to brown.
  • Transfer to a small bowl.
Tip! This can be done ahead of time and stored in an airtight container!
Serve

4 Serve

  • Trim the strawberries and cut into quarters.
  • Remove the Overnight Oats from the fridge and top with the fresh strawberries, a sprinkle of the toasted almonds and spoon of strawberry jam.
  • Alternatively serve with dollops of your favourite yogurt or additional toppings of your choice.
Tip! If the consistently of your oats are too thick, thin down slightly with milk.
Storage

5 Storage

  • The Overnight Oats are best consumed the next day.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge and consume within 2 days.
