Before you start

Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.

Instructions

Prep

1 Prep

  • Preheat the oven to 190°C/180°C fan.
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Grate the cheddar and parmesan fine.
  • Mix together to disperse evenly.
Add cheese

2 Add cheese

  • Unroll the puff pastry, keeping its baking paper underneath.
  • Evenly sprinkle the cheddar and the parmesan across the surface.
  • Place another sheet of baking paper on top to cover.
  • Using a rolling pin, roll the cheese into the pastry to stick.
Cut

3 Cut

  • Using a sharp knife, cut into 2 cm / 1 inch strips.
Twist

4 Twist

  • Place the strips on a lined baking tray, giving space between each.
  • Grab the ends of each strip and twist multiple times.
Tip! If needed, use 2 baking trays! If pieces are leftover, keep the remaining strips in the fridge until ready to bake.
Bake

5 Bake

  • Place the tray/trays in the middle of the oven.
  • Bake for 15-20 min, until golden, puffed and crisp.
Serve

6 Serve

  • Cool slightly and serve the Puff Pastry Cheese Twists warm or at room temperature.
Tip! Best enjoyed the same day, or, leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated!
