Instructions

Marinate tuna

1 Marinate tuna

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, sesame oil, ginger garlic paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and the sesame seeds.
  • Set aside to marinate the tuna steaks.
Boil rice

2 Boil rice

  • Meanwhile, rinse and drain the rice.
  • Add the rice, a pinch of salt and the measured water to a pot with a lid. Bring to a boil over a high heat.
  • Lower heat, cover and cook for 12-14 min, until the rice is tender.
  • Add the edamame beans and mix through to heat.
  • Remove from the heat and keep covered until serving.
Prep salsa

3 Prep salsa

  • Cut the cucumber into small cubes.
  • Finely slice the spring onion.
  • Peel and cut the mango into small cubes.
  • Cut the avocado in half, remove the stone and cut the flesh into small cubes.
  • Thinly slice the chilli (spicy!).
  • Pick and finely chop the coriander leaves.
  • Cut the lime half.
  • Combine all the salsa ingredients in a large bowl and add a squeeze of lime juice and a pinch of salt and pepper, to taste.
Fry tuna

4 Fry tuna

  • Remove the tuna from the marinade, discarding the liquid.
  • Heat a pan over medium heat with a drizzle of oil.
  • Fry the tuna steaks for 3-4 min on both sides until cooked through to your liking.
Serve

5 Serve

  • Serve the Sesame Tuna Steaks on a bed of Edamame Rice.
  • Top with spoonfuls of Mango and Avocado Salsa.
  • Drizzle over the creamy sesame dressing.
