Before you start
Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.
Instructions
1 Prep
Slice the lemon into wedges.
Peel and finely slice the red onions.
Peel and finely slice the brownonion.
Peel and finely chop the garlic.
Pick and finely chop the parsley.
2 Pickle onion
In a bowl, combine the red onion, sumac, parsley, oliveoil, redvinegar, a squeeze of lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
Mix and set aside to marinate.
Tip!The longer the onions marinate, the tastier!
3 Fry beef
Meanwhile, heat a large pan over a medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil.
Once hot, add the sliced brownonion with a pinch of salt.
Fry for 5-7 min until softened.
Add the pulledbeef, allspice, cinnamon, paprika, and coriandercuminpowder.
Fry for 3-5 min further or until cooked through.
Lower the heat and cover.
Keep warm until ready to serve.
Tip!For a softer pulled beef texture, add a splash of water to the pan while frying.
4 Make yogurt dressing
Meanwhile, pick and finely chop the mint leaves.
In a small bowl, add the yogurt, garlic, mint, and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Season with a pinch of salt.
Mix and set aside.
Tip!Not a fan of raw garlic? Leave it out or use only a small amount.
5 Prep sides
Slice the gherkins in half.
Slice the tomatoes into wedges.
Slice the cucumbers into rounds.
Microwave the Arabicflatbread for 30 sec until hot.
Tip!Alternatively, you may warm the bread in the oven.
6 Serve
Spread some garlicmintyogurt on top of each Arabicflatbread.
Add the pulled beef, and top with the pickled sumaconions, gherkins, and a squeeze of lemon to finish.
