Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.

Instructions

Coat drumsticks

1 Coat drumsticks

  • If using an oven, preheat to 220°C/200°C fan.
  • If using an air fryer, preheat to 180°C.
  • In a large bowl, add the chicken drumsticks with the chicken seasoning and a drizzle of oil.
  • Toss well to coat.
If using an oven

  • Place the drumsticks onto a lined baking tray.
  • Roast for 18-20 min or until the drumsticks are golden-brown and crispy.
Tip! Having a barbecue? Place the chicken drumsticks over an indirect heat and grill for 10-15 min, turning occasionally.
If using an air fryer

3 If using an air fryer

  • Place the drumsticks in a lined air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 12-15 min or until the drumsticks are golden-brown and crispy, turning halfway through.
Make dip

4 Make dip

  • Zest the lime and cut in half.
  • Combine the sour cream, lime zest and the juice of half a lime.
  • Reserve the other lime half for the basting.
  • Add a splash of water if you prefer a runnier dip.
Baste

5 Baste

  • In a small bowl combine the Gochujang (spicy!), brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger garlic paste, sesame seeds and the juice of the remaining half lime.
  • Brush the glaze over the drumsticks to coat well.
  • Add the glazed drumsticks back to the oven or air fryer for 5-7 min until crispy and sticky.
Tip! Gochujang is a savoury, sweet and spicy Korean chilli paste.

  • Serve the Sweet and Spicy Gochujang Chicken Drumsticks with the Zesty Lime Crema to the side.
