Before you start
Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.
Instructions
1 Prep
Finely shred the cabbage.
Peel and cut the carrot into matchsticks or use a grater.
Cut the cucumber into matchsticks.
Trim the base of the pakchoi and cut in half.
2 Boil rice
Rinse and drain the rice.
Add the rice, a pinch of salt and the measuredwater to a pot with a lid.
Bring to a boil over a high heat.
Lower heat, cover and cook for 12-14 min, until the rice is tender.
Add the edamamebeans and mix through.
Adjust seasoning to taste.
Remove from the heat and keep covered until serving.
3 Make salad
In a bowl, mix together the cabbage, carrot, cucumber and sesamedressing.
Keep chilled in the fridge.
4 Fry steak and pak choi
Pat the steaks dry with kitchen paper.
Rub with oil and season with salt.
Heat a large pan over high heat.
Once very hot, fry the steaks for 2-4 min on each side until cooked as preferred.
After flipping, add the pakchoi and fry with the steaks for 2 min.
Sprinkle all over with garlicpowder and pepper.
Transfer the steaks and pakchoi to a plate and leave to rest.
Reserve the pan with the pan juices.
5 Make sauce
Return the pan to medium-high heat.
Toast the sesameseeds for 30 sec.
Mix in the teriyakisauce, and measured water.
Cook for 1-2 min until reduced and thickened.
6 Serve
Thinly slice the steak.
Serve the TeriyakiSteak Donburi Rice Bowl with Sesame Salad, PakChoi & SushiGinger.
Drizzle the teriyakisauce over the steak.
