Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.

Instructions

Boil pasta

1 Boil pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil.
  • Add the macaroni.
  • Boil for 8 min until almost tender.
  • Drain.
Prep

2 Prep

  • Grate the mature cheddar and Parmesan.
Make sauce

3 Make sauce

  • Heat a separate pot over a medium heat with the butter and flour.
  • Cook, stirring, for 1 min or until a paste has formed.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk and cook for 5 min or until thickened.
  • Lower the heat and mix in the vegetable seasoning, garlic onion powder, Dijon mustard, mature cheddar, orange cheddar and half of the Parmesan.
  • Remove the pot from the heat.
Tip! The sauce is thick when it coats the back of a spoon.
Grill

4 Grill

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high.
  • Add the cooked macaroni to the sauce pot and mix.
  • Season with black pepper to taste.
  • Transfer to an oven-proof baking dish.
  • Top with the panko bread crumbs and the remaining parmesan.
  • Grill for 5-8 min until golden and bubbling.
Tip! Don't have a grill? Bake the Mac and Cheese in the oven at 180°C for 10-15 min until the top is golden.
Make salad

5 Make salad

  • In a large bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, honey and olive oil with a pinch of salt and pepper (make the dressing in a separate small bowl if consuming later).
  • Chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
  • Chop the tomatoes in half.
  • Chop the cucumber into small bite-sized pieces.
  • Place the salad in the bowl and toss to coat in the dressing.
Tip! If cooking for kids, leave some of the lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber separate.
Serve

6 Serve

  • Serve the Three Cheese Mac and Cheese with the Salad on the side.
