Instructions
1 Prep
Clean the mushrooms with a cloth, knife or brush (don't wash them with water).
Roughly chop or tear them.
Finely chop the chives.
Peel and mince the garlic.
2 Fry steak
Pat the steaks dry with kitchen paper.
Rub them with vegetable oil and season with salt.
Heat a large pan over a high heat.
Once very hot, add the steaks.
Fry them for 2-4 min on each side or until cooked to your liking.
Transfer the steaks to a plate.
Leave them to rest.
Once rested, season generously with pepper.
Tip!The resting of the steak is as important as the frying of the steak. It sets the meat's juices and allows the fibers to relax, leaving the end result more tender and your plate less messy.
3 Start sauce
Return the pan to a medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil.
Add the mushrooms. Fry for 6-7 min.
Fry for 6-7 min.

Simmer for 3-4 min or until the sauce has thickened.
4 Boil beans
Meanwhile, trim the greenbeans.
Cook the green beans in a pot of salted boiling water for 3-4 min or until tender.
Drain once cooked.
5 Serve
Serve theClassic Steak with Creamy MushroomSauce and Green Beans.
Garnish the sauce with the chives.
Tip!Add a knob of butter and a sprinkle of sea salt to your green beans!
