Before you start
Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.
Instructions
1 Bake fish
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Season the cod fillets and bake in the oven on an oiled baking tray for around 10-12 minutes until it’s flaky and cooked through.
2 Cook potatoes
Peel and quarter the potatoes and add to a pan of salted water and boil for 15-18 minutes.
3 Cook peas
In a smaller pan add some water and salt and bring to the boil ready to add the peas. Cook the peas for 4-5 minutes. Drain.
4 Make sauce
Melt half of the butter in another pan and add the flour, whisking constantly then add the milk and continue whisking until you have a creamy consistency and it coats the back of a spoon
5 Season
Add the parsley and lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper and stir.
6 Serve
Once the potatoes are ready, drain them and mash them with the remaining butter, salt and pepper. Serve the fish with the sauce spooned over and the mash and peas.
