Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan. Slice the tomatoes in half and place them, cut side up, in a baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and a sprinkling of the dried oregano. Bake for 15-20 min.
Meanwhile, peel and slice the onions finely. Heat a drizzle of oil in a pan over a high heat. Fry the onions for 5 min until browned. Reduce the heat to low, add the brown sugar and balsamic vinegar. Cook for 10 min further or until the onions have fully softened.
Rinse and trim the green beans. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the beans for 5 min until tender. Drain.
Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the beef mince with the garlic powder, Worcestershire, Dijon mustard and a pinch of salt and pepper. With clean hands, knead the mixture for 3-4 min until tender. Shape into patties. Slice the brie cheese thinly.
Heat a second drizzle of oil in a large pan over a medium high heat. Fry the patties for 3-4 min on each side. Flip and top each patty with a slice of brie. Fry for 3 min further.
Divide the caramelized onion among the patties. Serve the brie and onion patties with the baked tomatoes and boiled green beans to the side.
Prepare some of the patties without the cheese. Serve with mashed potatoes.
Instead of frying, bake the patties at 200°C in the oven for 15 minutes.
