Instructions
1 Boil rice
Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan. Rinse the jasmine rice. Add the rice, a pinch of salt and the measured water to a pan with a lid and bring to a boil over a high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for 10-12 min or until the water is absorbed and the rice is cooked. Once cooked, remove the pan from heat and keep covered until serving.
2 Bake meatballs
Add the beefmince, soy sauce, ginger garlic paste and black pepper to a bowl. With clean hands, knead until fully combined. Shape the mixture into meatballs and place them in a roasting dish. Bake in the oven for 10 min until cooked through but still juicy.
3 Make glaze
Meanwhilem, in a small bowl, combine the hoisin sauce, sriracha sauce and honey. This is your meatball glaze. Set aside.
4 Combine sesame sauce
In a small bowl, combine the rice vinegar, soy sauce, vegetable oil, sesame oil and honey. Juice the limes thoroughly. Season the sauce with the lime juice and chilli flakes(spicy!). Add the sesame seeds and a small pinch of salt. Mix well. This is your sesamesauce. Set aside.
5 Boil broccoli
Rinse the broccoli and separate it into florets. Cook the broccoli florets in a pot of salted boiling water for 5 min or until tender. Drain once cooked.
6 Glaze and roast
Once the meatballs are cooked, remove the dish from the oven. Turn the broiler or grill on. Spoon the glaze over the meatballs. Return the dish to the oven and roast, under the broiler for 3-5 min (see pro tip). Divide the meatballs, rice and broccoli among plates. Drizzle with the sesamesauce.
