Instructions

Cook the rice

1 Cook the rice

Remove the beef from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking. Rinse the rice. Bring a large pan of water to boil. Stir in the rice and a pinch of salt. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes untill all the water is absorbed.
Slice and dice

2 Slice and dice

Peel and dice the onion. Peel and crush the garlic. Clean and slice the mushrooms. Snip the ends off the green beans. Bring a small amount of water to boil in another pot and cook the green beans for 4-6 minutes. Drain.
Fry the beef

3 Fry the beef

Heat a pan with a spoon of oil and once the oil is hot, add the beef strips. Seal the strips until caramel brown (4-5 minutes). Season with salt and pepper. Remove from the pan and keep aside.
Fry the veggies

4 Fry the veggies

Add the diced onion, butter and crushed garlic to the empty pan. After 3-4 minutes add the sliced button mushrooms and cook until soft. Season with paprika, salt and pepper and mix well.
Finish sauce

5 Finish sauce

Place the beef strips back on the pan and add a small amount of water (1-2 Tbsp) to remove any flavor from the bottom of the pan and then add the cream. Reduce the heat to low and allow the sauce to gently simmer. Add the Dijon mustard and chopped parsley to the beef and check the seasoning. Serve with the brown rice and green beans.
